The extracurricular place of learning
The paläon Forschungsmuseum in Schöningen is a unique place of learning where questions of human history are linked to questions about the future of mankind. Content related to the Stone Age and the discovery of the Schöningen spears is directly related to the students' own lifes and provides impulses for reflection. In line with this approach and the curricula, the museum offers subject-related and cross-curricular learning and experience opportunities with future-oriented skill acquisition for all types of schools.
School classes have the opportunity here to compare prehistoric and their own world and to explore topics of education for sustainable development (ESD) on site.
